I'm a Sculptor,
Ceramicist & Watercolorist
(and a retired Sea Captain, former US Navy Frogman & Scientific Cartographer)
Paintings
I begin a painting with as much detail and fact as possible. Then finish somewhere on the other side of realism, where the watercolors are still detailed, but the facts have been shaped and altered in my vision and thus the final works are lacking in total realism.
Mr. Larry Wollam (Tucson AZ) is my mentor in watercolor realism.
Ceramics
My ceramics are merely extensions of hard sculptures. As with most of my sculpts I very seldom start with a firm plan, just an inspiration and the pieces take shape from there.
Jada Ahern (Tucson AZ) is my ceramic arts mentor.
